Yannis Kotileas is a professor of Physical Education and Sport Science graduated from the University of Athens, specializing in skiing and water skiing. He is also a graduate of the TRU (University of British Columbia, Canada) specializing in the organization and management of adventure tourism and holder of an Adventure Management Diploma. Furthermore, he is scuba diving instructor in IANTD as well as surfing instructor in ISA.
He is a member of the National Association of Skiing Teachers - Coaches as well as a member of the International Ski Instructor Association (ISIA). While studying in Canada, he aquired several certifications from Canadian federations such as: Avalanche Safety for Ski Operations Level 1 (CAA), Wilderness first responder - CPR provider (WMA), Approved Rafting Guide Certificate (BCROA), Sea Kayak Certified Guide (SKGABC ).
He has been skiing, winter mountaineering and climbing from an early age and graduated from all intermediate level HFMG relevant schools. He has dared several trails and pistes in Greece and abroad, as well as notable ski descents, with a remarkable record of very few repetitions.
Since 2007 he has been working as a ski, wakeboard, water ski and dive instructor, coach and guide. He has also worked as a ski patroller (pisteur) at Parnassos Ski Center.
Adventure activities and the search for new challenges have been the strongest motivation in his life, and have led him to many trips to various destinations such as: Nepal Mera Peak 6,476m (Mountaineering expedition), California Yosemite Valley (Rock climbing), Swiss - French Alps (Alpine Ski, Ski Touring), Spain Grand - Canaria Islands (Surfing), Hawaii Maui (Surfing - Diving), Egypt's Red Sea (Scuba Diving).
